Who are the Big Five?

In African nature, these are the elephant, the rhino, the buffalo, the lion and the leopard.
They are so impressive, so precious, and so beautiful that every tourist to Africa tries to see at least some of them!

However, when it comes to metals and commodities, the "Big Five" are troy ounces of the most precious metals: Gold, Silver, Palladium, Platinum, and Iridium.
One troy ounce has exactly 31.1034768 grams of its precius metal.
They have even their own currency-like tags: 

• XAU for Gold,
• XAG for Silver,
• XPD for Palladium,
• XPT for Platinum, and
• XIR for Iridium.
